UPDATE: This image is now available as a print for purchase at my online store! [link]

****

Photoshop.

Six and a half hours.

Go here to watch a video of me painting this piece (the video is of the first 3 hours): [link]

This piece is very special to me. In the summer of 2001, when I was deployed to Saudi Arabia, I began to learn how to use 3D graphics, specifically Bryce and Carrara. One of the images I planned on creating in 3D was this one, but I never got around to it. This odd little mish-mash of genres stayed in my imagination until last night when I finally forced it out. And it looks exactly as I always hoped it would, which is a rare thing for me. I guess 8 years of sitting on the mental stove was just what it needed.

Thanks for looking.

Postapocalyptic dinosaurs are my favorite.

There's a bit of cruel humor to be found in this. These post-apocalyptic scenarios have always been intriguing to me.

You know, in the face of adversity (and arrows), that truck still looks pretty upbeat.

Great image that you can just stare at for quite awhile, just taking it all in.

This looks wicked even as a thumbnail, which is always a good sign. Love it! Also looks like a still from an animated film, which again, instantly means cool.
