There is a new group on deviantART called Design A Character :icondesign-a-character: and the moderator of the group has started posting random shapes that other artists can use to practice character design.

These are the shapes from the second week and the characters that I have created using them as templates.

Drawn and colored in Photoshop CS4 using my Cintiq 21UX.

I had an absolute blast doing these. The process served as a great warm-up before moving on to my work for the day. I plan to draw characters based on week one's shapes. I will post them when I'm finished with them.
