Lovely page!
I like the feeling of it, like a dream...

So is he going to be a "silent" hero as well?

She, actually. And yes. She'll be silent and speak only in iconography. But other characters will speak.

Oops, I apologize. I think the idea of a silent hero talking in iconography is quite genious, really. It almost gives it an all new feel, or language. (Or maybe it's just me, and I'm weird like that. lol)

Thanks! It's an homage to the Zelda style, where the hero never speaks but is responded to by others. I think it helps to make the reader feel like they are that character and it also makes it a challenge for me to convey things in purely visual terms.

I also love the whole idea of the sepia tones, for the shading. It makes it seem like you're actually telling a tale of old. Hahaha

Whatever she was using for bait, it worked! Let the adventure really begin! I'm constantly amazed at what you can do with with basic tools and minimal colors - the underwater panels are amazing: love the way you capture sunlight cutting through water!
